If Money Is An Illusion Then How Does it Make The World Go Round?

If Money Is An Illusion Then How Does it Make The World Go Round?

If money is an illusion then how does it make the world go round? I have to admit it, I am currently researching for my next book to follow Money Farm. This kind of reasearch has blown my mental vault open to a whole new range of concepts in crypto-currency. The subject fascinates me and bemuses me at the same time. If you consider the fact that the amount of money registered does not actually correspond to physical money then you already have an understanding of the mass illusion that we all buy in to. When you discover that money is manufactured by central banks to loan to governments then you wonder - who owns the central banks?

In the book Sapiens, the author refers to the imagined concept. We, as the mass, all 'buy' in to money because it is how our system runs. It ties in with our conditioning, society and conformity. In days gone by there were shells, precious stones and various other spheres of trade. Each exchange type was set up to enable trusted purchases. The thing is, since the financial world has become a series of endless financial messages, pretty much every payment can be registered and traced. This then raises the question of privacy, finacial control and power. Who really owns the money and why do people apply their own intrinsic worth to the amount of money in the bank?

The financial system will always be in a state of digital development and imagine this, crypto-currencies challenge the regulated system. They were originated because a few very clever chaps/chapettes wanted to have a currency that enabled a trusted private exchange. They intended to be able to spend, exchange and purchase without the beedy Big-brother eyes upon them. Of course the uncontrolled system was sneered at in its infancy; however, that sneer would soon vanish when the world began to take crypto-currencies seriously.  When the crypto-currency value increased at an unprecedented rate, many of the get-rich quick factions jumped on the merry financial bandwagon. That became the issue and is an issue for financial institutions who are constantly finding new ways to deflect technological infiltration and cyber attacks. The speed of technological development, cyber factions and fraud attacks have become rife. This also affected the crypto-currencies. Those magnificent brains who developed such concepts had the equal opposite brains attempting to break and steal the currencies they created. Don't you find it strange that digital strings of code drive people to make such attempts to steal? Maybe money isn't the root of all evil, maybe man needs a simple motivation to be evil. Anyway I deviate, the point is we are all connected by money. Most money is now simply a digital code. It moves around the world in codes. Trillions of little digital strings leap through ether and arrive at their new financial destination only to be transformed into another digital code that will no doubt take a digital journey to another bank account. This is why money is an illusion. What would happen if the codes broke? What would happen if there came a point where there was no more capacity for any more codes to move? Fascinating eh? So the question: if money is an illusion then how does it make the world world go round can be answered. The imagined monetary illusion doesn't make the world go round instead that financial illusion circumnavigates the world daily and enables a finacial belief system that each individual accepts as real. The better question would be 'what needs to happen to enable the best, trustworthy and fairest trade mechanism?'  Deep eh? That is what happens when I start exploring concepts that take Money Farm's original concept to the next level.
