Our Greatest Challenge

No matter how perfect people's lives appear, behind the scenes people are being challenged. They may smile and say the right things yet underneath there is usually some emotional challenge taking place. The truth is life is an evolving energy that places sequences of events in a person's life path that will challenge them and make them grow (that is if they take up the challenge).

So what is your greatest challenge? How come some people have less challenges than others? Why do some people struggle while others simply seem to waft from one easy situation to another? I have spent years trying to figure this out. Could there be an underlying plan for each individual? Is there really karma? Does an astrological chart hold any secrets or understanding?

The thing that I have realised is that the people who have been most challenged have become increasingly authentic. They know their limitations, they know what they are capable of and often these people have more compassion and empathy for others. Have you noticed there are people who have had it easy and just don't seem to be able to connect with others or even consider how others feel? It is all about them. There are those who have been through life's wrangler and will be there for those souls who need help at the precise moment. What is it that makes them so helpful? In my opinion, it is often their depth of life experience.

So with all this in mind, what is the our greatest challenge? In my humble opinion, the greatest challenge is to 'become', to be the true and authentic self. To be able to embrace our shadow: the bad, the ugly and the downright awful. Once we have faced our inner dark vault and all the monsters then we can accept ourselves. Once we unite the denied fragments of self we can share our whole selves with the world. So what do we need to do to find these fragments? There are many techniques; however, my favourites are energetic work, emotional journeying, network spinal analysis, psychoanalysis and emotional freedom techniques. The thing is the world is often telling us what is wrong with us, it is not right or wrong, they are just parts of self. What many people don't realise is that everyone has those same characteristics in them somewhere. That is what makes us human. What's more, when we suppress these aspects of self we give them power. The suppression travels across society and that suppression builds anger and aggression and perpetuates fear. Yet when we accept and resolve anger and understand how it arises when we are out of control, then we begin to have tools to grow and to become.

So the question is are you willing to take on the challenge and unite the parts of you to 'Become'.

Learning When To Switch Off!

Isn't it funny how life moves so fast and there are times when you are like hang on September is drawing close! How did that happen? It is nearly Autumn and have we even processed that we have been experiencing summer? The thing is life moves fast, we move fast and that fast keeps us in a state of hyper-alert. Have you noticed how many people get ill as soon as they have a holiday? There you are lying around the pool with a hot sun slowly baking you and you hear a sneeze. A summer cold or is that person's body simply saying right now we are relaxing we can rebuild?

The thing is we all want to experience life and everything life has to offer. We are primed to succeed and work very very very hard so we can have all that we want. Yet there has to be a time when one literally stops and switches off. The way I look at this is this 'switching off' is like hitting the re-set button. If you don't switch off or take a break then what will happen to you? Well I spent the morning with a fascinating marketing chap and he talked about how he worked and worked and worked and forgot to have a break for a couple of years and that is when the burnout took him to the ground. He literally could not function on any level.

So with that in mind, and in my opinion, it is worth knowing when it is time to switch off, have a rest and allow yourself to rest and recuperate. It is during these times that we recharge, refuel and are ready for the next challenge. There will always be more challenges... It is a case that you need the energy to be able to enjoy them.

What Do You Want to Bring To The World?

What Do You Want to Bring To The World?

So many times truly talented people give up and don't share their brilliance with the world. Yesterday this topic came up in conversation with some great friends and we discussed how some people have such talent yet because they don't make money from it, they simply give up and stop sharing that talent with the world. One chap I know is hilarious, he would be a brilliant stand-up comedian, he has us all in hysterics, yet because he has not made money from it he decided to give up. Yet when he starts being humorous he lights up and affects us all. This then got me thinking... What is it that we want to bring to the world? Whatever that talent, skill or passion is - please share it and enjoy sharing it. Not everything has to make money. Money is a piece of paper with a stranger's face on it... Why would you give up your passion because someone does not give you a piece of paper for it? Yes it would be wonderful to become a millionaire because of our talents, yet there are more important things in life - the feelings of joy, passion, love and infectious enthusiasm to name but a few... So with that in mind: what is it that you desire to bring to the world? What positive can you use to add value?

With that in mind, I made another little animation to remind all those talented people to share their light with the world. I will share it here and on Facebook. If you know someone who needs to be reminded that their talent is worth sharing then please share the film with them... It is really lovely when you feel other people see your talent and you are not wading through resistant tar alone... There are times when everyone wants to give up... We just need a little push to keep going:)
